"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others."

With this wisdom perhaps we could begin to focus on the creation of a better civilization instead of trying to grow the economy.
Always good CJ

I'm afraid of being dumped into a steamy pile of maggot-infested monkey shit. I embrace that fear whole-heartedly. Under no circumstances do I want the chance to be liberated from that fear.

thank you for reminding me of one of my favorite quotes.

we often speak of power as though it is something negative, a "bad thing." power is not a bad thing...the abuse of power is a bad thing. it seems to me it is the fear of power, or the fear we are lacking power, that leads to power's abuse.

it seems to me it is our responsibility to be powerful, to be great. and it is our gift to use it to serve the world.

thank you, cj, for always pointing us in the right directions.
